What exactly is love? An attachment?, an inexcusable feeling?, perheps an unbreakable bond? In Harry G Frankfurt's short novel "The Reasons of Love", he describes love as "understanding, and or, responsive." We begin loving the things that we love because we are struck by their value. If we did not find the beloved valuable , we would not love it." "At times, we speak of people or of other things as "unworthy" of our love. Perheps this means that the cost of loving them would be greater than the benefit of doing so." My explination of love is something more fragile. When I think of love I automatically think of people, wether I know them or not has no affect on me. Love to me is concerning, and unconditional. To me it is an unbreakable bond. Yes it may benifit me, and another, but it is love. WHAT IS LOVE TO YOU? IS IT VALUEABLE TO YOU? WHY DO YOU LOVE?

Love...its the only thing powerful enough to carry us through,I believe. Being in it,or longing for it,to be loved and definaitly to show love. Well its what keeps me alive, the love for my son,to find my angel someday...oh ya,most important im told...to love thy self, right.

Hmm great question.. I've been thinking about this ever since I lost (she wasnt interested in me, and I pushed her away long story) the first and probably the last person I feel in love with. What is love? (I'm keeping a blog on this and the love I have for her lol but its in Turkish) Love is HER! (Her name, her smile, her scent, her eyes just pop up in my head) and that warm feeling, that melting begins inside of my heart. Love is warm and cosy; makes you feel safe and warm. Love is deep; so deep that you cant breath and you dont need to if beloved one is around. Love is kind; makes you a positive, better person. Love is unconditional; you expect nothing you just love no matter what. Value the moment, her presence, her smile and a single word she shares with you. Love changes you; in a better way. Grows you inside out. Well I m still in love with the person who thought me what love is and felt like.. its been 2 years. So... Love is hopefully forever..

Love for me is finding someone that will open me up and change me for the better. Someone who pushes me to do my best and be my best. Someone who knows everthing about me good and bad but loves me anyway :) Love is actions; it's the little things you do for eachother everyday that count and mean the most.....

oops... forgot to include "what does love mean".... when I love someone; it's like they are a part of all I do, all I think, all I want, and all I want to be....it gives me the inner strength of an army,a rock they can always depend on to lift them, protect them, honor them, and when that person REALLY LOVES me back, there's nothing that I can't accomplish.... they are half of every heartbeat; half of every breath I take.... yeh I know, pretty sappy.... when I love; I love deeply and passionately with such a raw, unadulterated love.... thus is the life of an empath.... we allow that person entrance to our very essence and soul.... we can physically and mentally feel when they are hurt, sad,or whatever.... on the other hand, we also can feel when they are being dishonest and unfaithful in words or actions....it can all be very painful like a shotgun to the chest, or can make you feel like you just jumped on the space shuttle....

that is a very thought provoking question..... even at my age I wonder what it is, like am I the ONLY one on this planet that still believes in the rennaisance/fairy tale version?? .... or if anyone on this earth even has a concept of anything more than a "fling" or screw with your heart and head mentality.... for me, when I tell someone I love them; it's unconditional and forever.... unless you lie to me; then after hitting me over the head with a 2x4 with that lie a dozen times, then across the face with it a dozen times; then I catch on.... can we just say that I'm pretty naive and always want to see the good in people? must be that empath in me who sees beyond the exterior to the soul of a person.... the sad part? that no matter what, I still have that child like belief in loving someone forever....
