it hasn't been for me, and i live in the middle of the Bible belt midwest (Missouri). i guess it all depends on what you're looking for, though. i'm bi and out to very few people, and most of my past lovers have been fwb (although very good benefits)
Hello I am a Black woman who lives in the Northampton area of western Mass. and there is really a big shortage of women of color here but it is a more liberal area in terms of just being an out lesbian.
I am blond white women with a black lesbian lover. We live together. Maybe because I am in NYC its easier to find black women. When I met her, I wasn;t looking for a black women, she came up to me, we started talking and got along great. She lived nearby and we went back to her place. Not we are live in lovers. I love her dearly. She's my best friend.
in general it's hard being just black here, if plus your black and lesbians: things can't be worst than that lol.
And concerning finding other lesbians in the black community here , it's also a hard work ( no many associations, no many clubs, no online boards for black lesbians etc...) but we got our places in the few lesbian clubs and bars here..i mean we responds to many white lesbians' fantasies...
