Hi ladies,
I've been crackin' my head over this one question: When you're a lesbian and a Christian, what about it? What about what the bible says? Is there any way of combining these two things? You're equally afraid of losing any of it...so whatcha gon' do? The bible says, it's strictly prohibited, but your heart says, you love her and can't do anything about it.
Now, ladies, tell me your opinion. I tink this is an important topic for some of us.
Ya'll take care...
Steffi!

Amen, not under the law, but under grace. We all fall short. It also says it's a sin if u weave more than 2 materials together n we wear these materials is a sin...
We r all Gods people n we r here to serve n love one another n help the needy.

I'm right there with you Tobbee, I was born again at 19, I am now 52, have done a lot of research and found many other Born Again christians, Pentacostal ones that have been out for some time. I have found a Spiritfilled group that has a lot of information that can give you some more peace knowing that our Father GOD loves us, for HE created us.

Would like to know the group/information. have struggled with this topic for years and have avoided relationships because of it. But this is who I am a lesbian in search of love from both God and that special lady in my life.

Well, growing up in the black church I saw the most rampant and fiercest forms of homophobia at the pulpit. I was condemned over and over again and within the past few years and through much soul-searching I realize that God loves me for who I TRULY am--not what the homophobes want me to be. There is a problem when your partner has not came to that same realization. You're always wondering if she is going to come home and say that she can't do it anymore because God does not accept her lifestyle. Anyway, I digress but I'm very happy with who I am and very confident in God's unconditional love for me.

I am also aChristian and a Lesbian and I do believe it is ok to be both. God wants us to be happy in who we are and if we are happy we can glorify him and make him happy. We must believe in ourselves to be able to believe in a higher power.

I am a born again Christian too and have always known Jesus as my Lord and personal savior. The Lord looks at the heart and what lies therein. The greatest of all the commandments is LOVE. If you love the Lord and believe in your heart that HE is and WAS and IS TO COME and you accept HIM as Lord of your life you need not worry about your sexuality for God created us all.HE loves us all the same and before HIM we all are equal.

Do your best bearing in mind that He is with you and the Lord will do the rest.

Well. I am a Christian and a Lesbian. There are many people in society that do not agree with us and who will use the Bible against us- but truly I believe that not being true to ourselves is not being true to the Lord. Jesus died for our sins right? And it is said that he had relations with Mary magdelen(sorry if I spelt that wrong) who was one of the 'lowest' people in societies eyes. So really- the Lord has a soft heart for those people who are the 'weak' ones.. the ones that don't follow societies rules and I believe he will love us no matter what- as long as we forgive so we can be forgiven and as long as we use the love that he gave us to it's fullest. Don't be afraid to Love- for it is the greatest gift. It is what the Lord wants from us. And so we should not use it improperly...

I am graduating high school soon and this summer will be staying with a lesbian couple. They go to a church that is lbgt centered and they are strong christians...

There are even animals that have been shown to be lesbians. And it's not like we cannot go forth and multiply- we can. We are just the ones to ussually be kind enough to spread our love to those who have none; adoption... such situations as that.. I hope this helps. Good luck and God Bless!

Very well stated. I agree 100%. My dad is also a minister. He has been for over 50 years now. Getting my mom and dad to accept me was the hardest, after that, I didn't care what anyone thought or stil may think. After all, it is between me and our loving Savior. Why would God create homosexuals? He does not make mistakes. I do not believe I am sinning because I am a lesbian. I believe I would be sinning if I did not accept my sexuality and tried to live a lie. I did it for too many years, and I felt like I was betraying myself.

I have talked to Jesus in prayer and got it all straightened out. I am a born again Christian, and even helped my ex-girlfriend to accept Jesus as her Savior, and stood by her side during her baptism. God created all of us. Yes, in The Bible, the story of Lot and his wife was about what God did then to the city and the homosexual acts going on, but God did a lot due to being a "jealous God" back then before Jesus came to save the world. I am saved and my sexuality has nothing to do with Jesus dying on the cross for me, and to raise again on the third day, so that I can go to Heaven someday. What it does have to do with is to be in circles in which I can speak of Jesus' love and witness.

I'm a proud lesbian born the child of a born again Minister and I completely understand where you are all coming from however I am seeing alot of pieces missing. The Bible says " We shall ALL fall short of the glory of God" We are not expected to be perfect, yes we were created in christs image but we are by no means expected to be christ just christ like. Jesus said "what you have done unto the least of thee you have done unto me".. Christ did not judge he was known for hanging with the theives and whores... We are to love everyone and not judge them " Judge not yet ye be judged"...
Abomination is a strong word and in actuality there is no exact translation for the word from hebrew so sclars had to simply guess... plus have you ever noticed in the next line he calls it an abomination to sleep with a woman when she is on her period... My point is none of us are perfect.. I believe when love is present and your in a committed relationship in the eyes of God you re married and therefore doing nothing wrong... And if you feel like your past is unclean for any reason all you have to do is ask for forgiveness and your slate is wiped clean.. God created everyone of us and he doens't make mistakes ... we love who we love and god is always present in love... Live a good life.. do unto others and try to be a good witness to others.. pay it forward when you can and god will bless you and your life for showing human kindness and compassion... Christ loves everyone even the murders what would ever make you think he would reject you for who you fall in love with. I could go on and on but I won't I don't want to sound like i'm preaching.. I will leave this with a song I learned as a child "Jesus loves the little children (we are all his children) all the little children of the world red and yellow black and whte they are precious in his sight" my version is gay or str8, bi or trans good has always had a master plan :)

I am Christain and a Lesbian and I am proud of being both, and no man on earth can tell me any different. My relationship with God is strong and I always feel his love of me and never his disdain. If you love God and Jesus Christ and your neighbor which is the most important commandment of all, then you should not have to worry about anyone else's judgement of you.

We are all writing a test with all our organs and senses, each minute of our lives, given to us by god almighty for heavenly abode, hereafter, for ever.

To score good in all subjects i.e. Being good to another human being, exercising your authority and power (boss or president or king), being parent, showing compassion, empathy for others, having the strong faith that god will provide food and clothing to all of us as he created us. So no need to eye for others belongings in short feeling jeolous. Be very grateful that we have all the organs intact, functioning.

To be attracted to opposite sex is wrong, ordained by god. But, in the process of being created, there as some biological malfunction that made lesbians different, this is the strictest of all examinations of God almighty. Live is not here but starts upstairs, surely. This is temporary life even Jesus had to depart and did all the prophets before him.

Bible is interpretation, first the person who wrote it whilst Jesus spoke, how accurate he was in his perception, to comprehend what Jesus was saying. Did he check with all those listeners that his perception is same to theirs? The scriptures accoring to John, according to Mathews is another alarming factor simply because it should have been GOD SAYS, I THE GOD SAYS, GOD COMMANDS, but not ACCORDING TO JOHN, AND MATHEWS. Here again there is no directness but a message is being passed of how it was interpreted by them, but not how it was. There should be a common line of thought, see how JEWS who are so disrespectful to Jesus and his family are still favoured with all their arrogance. I was reading the holy Quran, no wonder there is no interpretation, no dot had been changed it is in its purest form, and it has given a top position to Mary as mother of all with a full chapter written on her. I am still exploring and its very interesting, the message is straight with no room for imagination. Give it a try, see how yu feel. I found refreshing really, beautiful and pure word of God, dont know how these terrorists interpreted it, there is nothing there about taking another human being's life whatsoever.

To be honest I don't think its possible to a homosexual christian. People say Jesus did away with Jewish law but didn't he say he came not to do away with it but fulfill it. Also a few of the apostles talk about how the laws against sexual sin still hold. People also say that Christianity has been influenced by man and cultural views of the time. I think that is true but I don't believe the bible or any holy text was directly influenced by a universal, always truthful, never changing god/dess, however that is exactly what the christian god claims isn't it? If not why don't we cut out a large portion of the bible and rewrite it for the current culture?

I think its just a personal deity or many personal deities that are constantly changing and evolving as we do that create our views on religion and our religious texts. So bottom line is in my opinion when you live outside the rules of any religion your no longer in that religion even if you are influenced by it. Lol hope that makes sense.

Let me see if I can clear up some things for your well being as well as mine. I've been born-again since I was seven years old. I am now 48. I've been gay since I was in the third grade. As far as God's Word says, yes it is an abomination however it also says, that we are no longer under the law but under grace. NO MATTER WHAT we do, we are forgiven because of the blood that JESUS shed for us at Calvary. The only thing He will not forgive us of is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. I feel if we sincerely ask God for direction as to what to do in this situation, He will do it. After you have done all that you can, the only thing left is to STAND. Maybe that will help you.
